What does an inspection look like with CR3 American Exteriors?
If you read our blogs, or follow us on social media, you know that CR3 American Exteriors offers free inspections so you can learn about the needs of your home without making any financial commitments.
In this post, we’re taking things a step further. We’ll be talking with a homeowner who has gone through the CR3 inspection process firsthand. Their experience will give you a clear, honest look at what to expect.
1. What was happening with your home that made you think an inspection might be necessary?
I was sitting in my living room and noticed a crack had formed in the wall and trim beneath my window. I couldn’t tell if this was caused by the window itself, if it was structural, or something else, but I didn’t want to take any chances.
2. What was the scheduling process like? Was it easy to set up a time that worked for you?
It could not have been any easier. I called and spoke to the president, and he connected me right away with the person who would be doing my inspection. This was later in the day, and I had an inspection set up for the next day for a time that worked with my schedule.
3. What happened during the inspection?
When the CR3 Employee— JR— arrived, he was so nice and professional. He was kind with both our dog who ran to greet him, and our young kids. When he inspected the window, he explained everything in detail. It turns out the crack in the wall was not from the window, but from the fluctuations in temperature on an old home causing expansion and contraction to the frame of the window.
4. Were any needed services identified?
Actually, no. JR is very honest and he explained that the problem could be fixed by patching the wall. We can either do this ourselves or hire a professional, but it was not necessary to have a window replacement. He even looked at a few other problem areas I was concerned about, but he assured me that there was nothing that needed to be done by CR3.
5. Have you ever received inspections from other companies? If so, were they similar or different?
I have had inspections with other companies in the past, but they were very different. With other companies, I felt pressured to make a decision right then and there, and they always seemed to find something that needed to be fixed, even if it wasn’t what I called about.
CR3, on the other hand, never tried to convince me to have an unnecessary service. It is refreshing to work with a company that is honest and isn’t looking for vulnerable homeowners for an easy payday. It is because of this honesty that I would actually choose CR3 for any services in the future.
